I Tour Côte d’Azur takes you on a journey to discover the art, history, and culture of the French Riviera on an itinerary through Vence, Cagnes-sur-Mer, Nice, Villefranche-sur-Mer, and Èze.

Vence

Vence is a medieval town that has preserved some ramparts. The town attracts and has attracted artists, such as Henri Matisse, to whom we owe the unique Rosary Chapel. He said of the place where he lived, “This morning, walking around, seeing all these people running around on bicycles in the market, I thought I was in Tahiti.”
Get lost in the city streets and drink from the Foux fountain, from where natural mineral water of great purity has been gushing out since the Middle Ages (1431). Enjoy the pleasant microclimate that allows the growth of hills of olive and citrus trees, white and green oaks, aleppo pines, and its lush gardens scented with rosemary and lavender. Visit the Vence Museum, Emile Hugues Foundation, and the aforementioned Rosary Chapel to begin your journey through the art and culture of the French Riviera.

Cagnes-sur-Mer

Cagnes-sur-Mer, a charming destination located in the heart of the French Riviera, between Nice and Cannes. The town invites you to discover its authentic, perched medieval village of Haut-de-Cagnes as well as its small waterfront fishing port. Visit the Grimaldi Museum and the Renoir Museum, set among a magnificent expanse of olive trees. Lulled by the waves of the Mediterranean and cuddled by the sun, Cagnes-sur-Mer is a town that draws you in to the rhythm of its events, colorful markets, coastline, nautical activities, equestrian seasons at the Hippodrome, and establishes itself as a key stop on the French Riviera.

Nice

After Paris, Nice is the French city with the most museums, so it is a must for art and culture on the French Riviera, of which it is the capital. We start at the Matisse Museum, a beautiful red Genoese-style villa located on Cimiez Hill that houses paintings and drawings by the artist. Not far away is a Franciscan monastery with a wonderful garden. Cimiez is an upscale residential neighborhood that also houses the archaeological museum and the Marc Chagall National Museum. Continue to the Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art (MAMAC) where, after the visit is over, you can go to the terrace located on the fourth floor and enjoy a 360-degree view of the city. The museum in Palais Lascaris is an art gallery where you can meet the authors of the artistic works. While touring the city and old town, admire the Orthodox St. Nicholas Cathedral and treat yourself to a tour on the scenic tourist train.

Villefranche-sur-Mer

Villefranche-sur-Mer shines both in summer chand in winter. The city is known for the its superb port, considered one of the most beautiful Mediterranean. Overlooking the hills and surrounded by luxurious homes, is currently one of the destinations most popular on the French Riviera. Visit the city and cAppeals Cocteau.

Èze

Èze is a medieval village, located between Nice and Monaco, also known as “the eagle’s nest.” Enjoy a tour of the village and a visit to the perfume and cosmetic factories-the know-how of the French Riviera is a must to learn about its history and culture. You can also visit the exotic botanical garden, where there is an impressive collection of cacti, succulents, and other rare species living surrounding the remains of an ancient castle, all on top of a hill at an altitude of 400 m with a cliff overlooking the sea. A breathtaking view!
