Rich in history, culture, and breathtaking scenery, the Route Napoleon is an emblematic route through the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur region, perfect for motorcycle enthusiasts. The route starts from the place called Golfo Juan, in the municipality of Vallauris, where Napoleon landed on March 1, 1815. The road winds from the Côte d’Azur going northwest, at first at the foot of the Alps. The route is marked by statues of the French imperial eagle. Going from south to north it passes through Antibes, Grasse, Saint-Vallier-de-Thiey, Castellane, Digne, Sisteron, Gap, the Col Bayard (1246 m high), Corps, La Mure, Laffrey and Grenoble.
