Scoperta nella seconda parte della sua vita, da Nizza, passando per Cagnes-sur-Mer e Vence, l'artista ha potuto trovare ispirazione per il suo lavoro.\\n\\nNIZZA\\nNel 1917, a 48 anni, Matisse, innamoratosi di Nizza, decide di trasferirsi l\u00ec, rimanendoci fino alla fine dei suoi giorni.\\nInizialmente si stabil\u00ec all'hotel Beau Rivage sulla Promenade des Anglais. Affascinato dal luogo, ha allestito il suo studio non lontano da l\u00ec, al 105 quai des Etats-Unis. Un anno dopo, scelse di stabilirsi all'H\u00f4tel de la M\u00e9diterran\u00e9e et de la C\u00f4te d'Azur. Le stanze dell'albergo diventano l'ispirazione per i suoi quadri dove dispone i suoi modelli l\u00ec che circonda di superfluo: tessuti, fiori, oggetti e molto altro.\\nNel 1953, un anno prima della sua morte, l'artista dona alcune sue opere alla citt\u00e0 di Nizza per la creazione di un museo. Si tratta del Museo Matisse, una delle mete pi\u00f9 visitate della citt\u00e0.\\n\\nCAGNES-SUR-MER\\nCagnes-sur-Mer \u00e8 prima di tutto la storia di un'amicizia artistica, quella tra Matisse e Renoir. I due si incontrano nel 1917, nella sua villa a Collettes. Tra i due artisti nasce un'intesa, grazie alla quale Matisse pot\u00e9 percepire meglio il particolare colore del sud.\\nMatisse ha approfittato della tranquillit\u00e0 della Villa des Collettes e in particolare del suo giardino, dove ha sistemato il suo cavalletto.\\nNel 1960, la villa divenne il museo municipale Renoir. Una visita a questa antica villa promette un'immersione nella vita dei pittori.\\n\\nVENCE\\nNel 1943, Matisse dovette lasciare Nizza a causa dei bombardamenti. Cos\u00ec si stabil\u00ec a Vence presso la villa \u201cLe R\u00eave\u201d. Affascinato dalla citt\u00e0, l'artista ci rester\u00e0 cinque anni.\\nDurante il suo soggiorno, Matisse ricever\u00e0 diversi artisti, come Gide, Rouveyre, Picasso, Aragon, Breton e Bonnard.\\nOggi la villa \u00e8 stata trasformata in un luogo di residenza per artisti esperti o dilettanti con l'obiettivo di svolgere stage dove dare modo all'espressione della loro arte.\\nMa Vence \u00e8 famosa anche per la Cappella di Santa Maria del Rosario, costruzione religiosa cristiana cattolica, progettata e decorata da Matisse. Il lavoro avvenne su richiesta di Suor Jacques-Marie, nata come Monique Bourgeois, amica ed ex modella dell'artista.\\nSul retro della Cappella si trova un piccolo museo con alcune opere di Matisse, compresi vari bozzetti delle fasi di studio per la realizzazione della Cappella, copie delle principali opere dell'autore ed alcune realizzazioni di abiti per le celebrazioni liturgiche.\\n\\nCIMIEZ\\nGi\u00e0 prima di Vence, Matisse aveva un debole per Cimiez. Nel 1931, infatti Matisse prese possesso di un garage trasformato in officina. E non solo. Nel 1938 divent\u00f2 proprietario di due appartamenti all'albergo Le Regina.\\nIl rapporto con Cimiez si rinnov\u00f2 nel 1949, quando prese una stanza-studio, in quanto l'artista \u00e8 costretto a letto e disabile. Discovered in the latter part of his life, from Nice, via Cagnes-sur-Mer and Vence, the artist was able to find inspiration for his work. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>NICE<\/strong><br \/>In 1917, at the age of 48, Matisse fell in love with Nice and decided to move there, staying until the end of his days.<br \/>He initially settled at the Beau Rivage hotel on the Promenade des Anglais. Fascinated by the location, he set up his studio not far from there, at 105 quai des Etats-Unis. A year later, he chose to settle at the H\u00f4tel de la M\u00e9diterran\u00e9e et de la C\u00f4te d&#8217;Azur. The hotel rooms became the inspiration for his paintings where he arranged his models there surrounding superfluous: fabrics, flowers, objects and more.<br \/>In 1953, a year before his death, the artist donated some of his works to the city of Nice for the creation of a museum. This is the Matisse Museum, one of the most visited destinations in the city.    <\/p>\n<p><strong>CAGNES-SUR-MER<\/strong><br \/>Cagnes-sur-Mer is first and foremost the story of an artistic friendship, that between Matisse and Renoir. The two met in 1917, at his villa in Collettes. An understanding was born between the two artists, thanks to which Matisse was better able to perceive the particular color of the south.<br \/>Matisse took advantage of the tranquility of the Villa des Collettes and in particular of its garden, where he set up his easel.<br \/>In 1960, the villa became the Renoir Municipal Museum. A visit to this ancient villa promises an immersion in the painters&#8217; lives.   <\/p>\n<p><strong>VENCE<\/strong><br \/>In 1943, Matisse had to leave Nice because of the bombings. So he settled in Vence at the villa &#8220;Le R\u00eave.&#8221; Fascinated by the town, the artist would stay there for five years.<br \/>During his stay, Matisse would receive several artists, such as Gide, Rouveyre, Picasso, Aragon, Breton and Bonnard.<br \/>Today, the villa has been transformed into a place of residence for experienced or amateur artists with the aim of holding internships where they could give way to the expression of their art.<br \/>But Vence is also famous for the Chapel of St. Mary of the Rosary, a Catholic Christian religious building designed and decorated by Matisse. The work was done at the request of Sister Jacques-Marie, born as Monique Bourgeois, a friend and former model of the artist.<br \/>At the back of the Chapel is a small museum with a number of Matisse&#8217;s works, including various sketches of the study phases for the realization of the Chapel, copies of the author&#8217;s major works, and some realizations of clothing for liturgical celebrations.   <\/p>\n<p><strong>CIMIEZ<\/strong><br \/>Even before Vence, Matisse had a soft spot for Cimiez. In 1931, in fact, Matisse took possession of a garage converted into a workshop. And not only that. In 1938 he became the owner of two apartments at the Le Regina hotel.<br \/>The relationship with Cimiez was renewed in 1949, when he took a studio room, as the artist was bedridden and disabled.
