Sulla Costa Azzurra, Cocteau ha trovato un rifugio e un luogodi creazione.\\n\u00c8 possibile trovare traccia del suo lavoro sul territorio, da Fr\u00e9jus a Mentone.\\n\\nMENTONE\\nNel 1955, un mese dopo il festival musicale, il sindaco di Mentone Francis Palmero propone a Cocteau di decorare la Sala per matrimoni. In seguito, la sala verr\u00e0 intitolata all'artista.\\nPoi, nel 1957, durante una passeggiata, Jean Cocteau scopr\u00ec anche il Bastione, una fortezza abbandonata del XVII secolo. \u00c8 lui che presieder\u00e0 alla restaurazione. L'edificio divenne, alla sua morte, il primo museo a lui dedicato a Mentone.\\nLa citt\u00e0 di Mentone \u00e8 stata anche un luogo di ispirazione. Infatti, qui l'artista cre\u00f2 metodo di lavoro che chiamer\u00e0 \u201cchin style\u201d, basandosi sull'estrosit\u00e0 che gli trasmette la citt\u00e0.\\n\\nVILLEFRANCHE-SUR-MER\\nVillefranche-sur-Mer \u00e8 un luogo dove Cocteau si era rifugiato per trovare tranquillit\u00e0.\\nCome nel caso di Mentone, Cocteau ha lasciato traccia del suo lavoro. Lo ha fatto con la cappella di Saint-Pierre. Curata sul porto da una confraternita di pescatori, fu costruita in stile romanico a met\u00e0 del XVI secolo. Nel 1957, in segno di amicizia verso i pescatori del villaggio che allora possedevano la cappella, Jean Cocteau ne intraprese la decorazione. User\u00e0 uno stile sobrio, senza ornamenti ma grafico dove figurazione e astrazione si mescolano.\\n\\nFR\u00c9JUS\\nNel 1963, anno della sua morte, gli viene affidata l'architettura e la decorazione della cappella Notre-Dame-de-J\u00e9rusalem a Fr\u00e9jus. Questo si colloca tra i monumenti eclettici della citt\u00e0 di Fr\u00e9jus. Le curve carnali disegnate da Cocteau nella cappella scandiscono i raggi del sole che passano attraverso le vetrate. On the French Riviera, Cocteau found a refuge and a place of creation. <br \/>It is possible to find traces of his work in the territory, from Fr\u00e9jus to Menton.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>MENTON<\/strong><br \/>In 1955, a month after the music festival, Menton Mayor Francis Palmero proposed that Cocteau decorate the Wedding Hall. Later, the hall would be named after the artist.<br \/>Then, in 1957, during a walk, Jean Cocteau also discovered the Bastion, an abandoned 17th-century fortress. It was he who would preside over its restoration. The building became, upon his death, the first museum dedicated to him in Menton.<br \/>The town of Menton was also a place of inspiration. In fact, here the artist created method of work that he would call &#8220;chin style,&#8221; based on the whimsy that the city transmitted to him.    <\/p>\n<p><strong>VILLEFRANCHE-SUR-MER<\/strong><br \/>Villefranche-sur-Mer is a place where Cocteau had taken refuge to find tranquility.<br \/>As in the case of Menton, Cocteau left traces of his work. He did so with the chapel of Saint-Pierre. Nurtured on the harbor by a fishing fraternity, it was built in the Romanesque style in the mid-16th century. In 1957, as a sign of friendship toward the village fishermen who then owned the chapel, Jean Cocteau undertook its decoration. He used a sober style, without ornamentation but graphic where figuration and abstraction mingled.    <\/p>\n<p><strong>FR\u00c9JUS<\/strong><br \/>In 1963, the year of his death, he was entrusted with the architecture and decoration of the Notre-Dame-de-J\u00e9rusalem chapel in Fr\u00e9jus. This ranks among the eclectic monuments of the city of Fr\u00e9jus. The carnal curves drawn by Cocteau in the chapel punctuate the sun&#8217;s rays passing through the stained glass windows.
