Situato nel cuore del quartiere di Cimiez, il museo \u00e8 nato dalla volont\u00e0 dell\u2019artista di riunire in un unico luogo (appositamente costruito) il suo pi\u00f9 importante lavoro sulla Bibbia: le 17 tele che compongono il Messaggio Biblico.\\nLa collezione permanente \u00e8 la pi\u00f9 grande collezione pubblica di opere di Marc Chagall. Si snoda attorno al complesso di opere realizzato dal pittore su temi tratti dall'Antico testamento, completato da svariati lavori di ispirazione profana o religiosa: pi\u00f9 di quattrocento dipinti, pitture a tempera, disegni, lavis e realizzazioni a pastello. Il museo offre al visitatore una prima sala che raggruppa dodici dipinti di grandi dimensioni illustranti i primi due libri dell'Antico testamento, la Genesi e l\u2019Esodo. In una seconda sala, pi\u00f9 piccola, di forma esagonale, sono esposte cinque composizioni aventi ad oggetto temi tratti dal Cantico dei cantici, altro libro dell\u2019Antico testamento.\\n\\nSAINT-PAUL-DE-VENCE\\nDal 1966 al 1985 l'artista e la moglie Vava hanno vissuto a Saint-Paul de Vence. Costruirono una grande casa alla fine del paese, chiamata \\\"La Colline\\\". Questa casa \u00e8 pensata appositamente per il lavoro perch\u00e9, anche se Chagall aveva quasi 80 anni, riceveva molte commissioni, provenienti da tutto il mondo.\\nA Saint-Paul de Vence, lo si poteva vedere alla \u00abColombe d\u2019Or\u00bb o al \u00abCaf\u00e9 de la Place\u00bb dove incontrava i suoi amici. Tra loro, Aim\u00e9 e Marguerite Maeght, la cui casa era vicina a quella dell\u2019artista. Le sue opere occupano un posto particolare nella collezione stabile della Fondazione Maeght: \u201cLes Amoureux\u201d, un grande mosaico che accoglie i visitatori all'ingresso della fondazione dedicata alla coppia Maeght e \u201cLa Vie\u201d, quadro monumentale raffigurante i grandi eventi che segnarono la sua esistenza: il matrimonio, la nascita di sua figlia, la fuga dalla Russia e l'esilio a New York...\\nNell\u2019ambito dell\u2019itinerario dei Pittori della Costa Azzurra, tre riproduzioni su leggii delle opere di Marc Chagall costellano la rotonda dei Trious e il sentiero Sainte-Claire, dove all\u2019artista piaceva passeggiare.\\nSi pu\u00f2 inoltre ammirare un mosaico sul frontone della scuola materna (visibile dal giardino terrazzato di fronte alla scuola): \u00abIl fiume verde\u00bb, creato nel 1986, dopo la morte dell\u2019artista, a partire da una litografia originale di Marc Chagall. Chagall, che amava tanto i bambini, ve ne raffigura uno dal sorriso radioso, simbolo di gioia.\\nL\u2019artista mor\u00ec il 28 marzo 1985 e riposa nel cimitero di Saint-Paul de Vence.\\n\\nVENCE\\nSi prosegue l'itinerario con una visita nella Cattedrale di Notre-Dame de la Nativit\u00e9 a Vence, dove si potranno ammirare le vetrate realizzate da Chagall nel 1979 per la cappella del Santissimo Sacramento. Below are some suggestions on which attractions dedicated to Chagall to go see in these cities. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>NICE<\/strong><br \/>In the capital of the French Riviera, you can admire the Marc Chagall Museum. Located in the heart of the Cimiez district, the museum was born out of the artist&#8217;s desire to bring together, in one place, the Biblical Message. This is his most important work on the Bible, consisting of 17 canvases.<br \/>The permanent collection is the largest public collection of works by Marc Chagall. It revolves around the complex of works created by the painter on themes from the Old Testament, complemented by a variety of works of secular or religious inspiration: more than four hundred paintings, tempera paintings, drawings, lavis and pastel achievements. The museum offers visitors a first room that groups twelve large paintings illustrating the first two books of the Old Testament, Genesis and Exodus. A second, smaller, hexagonal room displays five compositions dealing with themes from the Song of Songs, another Old Testament book.     <\/p>\n<p><strong>SAINT-PAUL-DE-VENCE<\/strong><br \/>From 1966 to 1985 the artist and his wife Vava lived in Saint-Paul de Vence. They built a large house at the end of the village, called &#8220;La Colline.&#8221; This house is specially designed for work because, although Chagall was almost 80 years old, he received many commissions, coming from all over the world.<br \/>In Saint-Paul de Vence, he could be seen at the &#8220;Colombe d&#8217;Or&#8221; or at the &#8220;Caf\u00e9 de la Place&#8221; where he met his friends. Among them were Aim\u00e9 and Marguerite Maeght, whose house was close to the artist&#8217;s. His works occupy a special place in the stable collection of the Maeght Foundation: &#8220;Les Amoureux,&#8221; a large mosaic that welcomes visitors at the entrance of the foundation dedicated to the Maeght couple, and &#8220;La Vie,&#8221; a monumental painting depicting the major events that marked his existence: his marriage, the birth of his daughter, his escape from Russia and his exile in New York&#8230;<br \/>As part of the C\u00f4te d&#8217;Azur Painters&#8217; itinerary, three reproductions on music stands of Marc Chagall&#8217;s works dot the Trious traffic circle and the Sainte-Claire path, where the artist liked to stroll.<br \/>A mosaic on the pediment of the kindergarten (visible from the terraced garden in front of the school) can also be admired: &#8220;The Green River,&#8221; created in 1986, after the artist&#8217;s death, from an original lithograph by Marc Chagall. Chagall, who loved children so much, depicts there one with a radiant smile, a symbol of joy.<br \/>The artist died on March 28, 1985, and rests in the Saint-Paul de Vence cemetery.     <\/p>\n<p><strong>VENCE<\/strong><br \/>Finally, we continue the itinerary with a visit to the Cathedral of Notre-Dame de la Nativit\u00e9 in Vence, where we can admire the stained glass windows created by Chagall in 1979 for the Blessed Sacrament Chapel.
